Of umbrellas, sneakers, deaths and engineers.

TGIF!

Getting so sick of this week already. I do not know why. Maybe it's because of Azam's moodswings or the SIMPLY UNDOABLE TON OF HOMEWORK THAT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! Anyhoos. The test was a breeze-although this time I didn't freak like I normally do before Geography or SS exams. The calculations were ok- they were soo ripped off from ten year series- how typical.

The Heavens finally opened today! After countless days with infernally hot blazing sun, it poured! So the situation at the mosque was like really hectic-everyone rushed to share umbrellas or to salvage their ohosonice sneakers from the rain. I even saw one of them sacrificing themselves to the rain to make sure that the shoes do not get wet! How so...vain. Can't seem to place the word.

The electricity course was at two-and I was freezing my ass off in the car. The stupid engineering thing was really, well, stupid- too much brainwork involved. The 'Matrix' language-1s and 0s were really damn confusing.

Sad News- War heroine Elizabeth Choy has died. Oh well..

I wonder if people really do believe in the power of music. The power in faith and God is another thing, but music really stirs your soul sometimes.

I'm talking in the aspect of orchestras and some trailer-choir music-you know, that crescendos into a spectacular end? Anyway. I bet Shaz must be rolling her eyes and saying whatever right now.

But really, have you really heard any music, any music that just suddenly grabs you by the shoulders, make your thoughts wonder into the realms of space and suddenly, an overbearing feeling of happiness or even sadness takes over you? Tag about it. I wanna know.

Anyway. I have finally seen what is true fanaticism. The great hullabaloo over Hady's homecoming brought some crazy, if not wild fans into Siglap! I mean the Sec 5 girls were really raving stark mad! Like every word weakens them and if he talks to them they'd just faint in excitement. Like what the hell?

Yes QR, My internet is up and working! No doubt you'd hound me for Friday's pic after this. Don't call me ah. My bill is already sky-high!

You people have GOT to watch FRONT!! I mean besides seeing all the normal glitterati and shit(which I think that these people serious need to have a life. I mean, they are social creatures who actually have a life, but they should actually get a LIFE instead of all the booze and stuff. I don't think you understand either.), you need to catch Kumar in action! I mean, he's like the King of all jokes or something.

All hail Kumar!

Anyway, you'd need to take in the jokes with a pinch of salt, if you don't mind.

It's Front, 9.30pm, Arts Central, Monday.

Dear Daughter,
I love you very much.
I showered you with my everything.
Dear daughter,
I've seen you sprout from an innocent, pure toddler,
to a beautiful belladonna.

Dear daughter,
I've emboldened you with the miracles of our religion,
the true way,
the vis-a-vis,
about the birds and the bees.
dear daughter,
I've been with you,
holding your hands,
through every rite of passage.

But why,
dear daughter,
WHY,
have you broken my heart,
shattered my careful laid plans for your future?
why,
dear daughter,
have you made my heart turn cold
with the wrath of hell?
why,
have you gone skew-whiff from the true path?

to work?
at that odious place?
for money?

money.
money,
dear daughter,
is the root of all evil.
money,
dear daughter,
make the most complete, honest men into scoundrels.

why,
dear daughter,
do you go against my wishes?

shattered dreams.
tears.
CONFRONTATIONS-
Oh, Daughter!

you've broken my heart.

i've seen you grow,
from the little girl,
who'd make me laugh,
why,
little daughter,
have become self-centered?

oh,
dear daughter,
i still love you.

no matter what..
