the weekend.
wanted to go to the star wars exhibition
but it was cancelled last minute
due to some problems.
oh well.
the lightsaber can wait.
so can the DVD too.
we headed of to a wedding
my mom's side of course
cos' her family's like uber big.
so naturally everyone was an alien.
did what every guest was supposed to do -
101 ways to behave in a typical malay wedding.
step 1:
make sure you find the parents of the couple.
they are hidden in the myriad of people and the flashes of gold.
step 2:
if you're married and you're a woman do this:
- go to the bride/groom 's mother
- comment on how beautiful the bride looks.
-wait to get seated and bring your whole family over to the table.
if you're a man:
-congratulate the father
-smile
-exchange handphone numbers
step 3:
EAT!
gorge yourself silly.
the food's free anyway.
step 4:
get your ass out of there.
find the mother or father *again*
give the money
optional of course and move as fast as possible.
also
married women dont forget to wear gaudy jewellery
flash those blings under the scarf.
the bigger the better honey.
only young people can wear silver or white gold.
the men and the children have no right to say anything.
so shut up and eat,
smile,
and pronto-ly get out.
after the wedding we headed to Century Square
cos' i wanted to buy DVDs.
planned on buying much more DVDs than
what i bought yesterday.
well the Father grumbled
so had to put back a number of DVDs
kept muttering under my breath.
but anyhoo
SWJMR,
bought X-men I.5
X-men 2 is still there
and the boxed set cost 80 bucks.
also bought
Kill BiLL vol. 2
!!
finally.
still searching for vol. 1.
i dont think they are selling it.
so after the DVD
headed to Metro
to get a comforter
which is another word
another cheem word for
blanket.
riight.
my sis wanted a new one
i eyed on a new one too
but ,
unfortunately,
all of them had flowery prints on it.
eeyur.
changed my mind.
err.
yeah..
bought the new harry potter game...
turned out to be a rip off
but it does get fun in the later stages.
though the end part is absolutely annoying.
also bought the speakers
very cheap.
dirt cheap in fact.
alright.
ill stop here.
shahidah's pestering me to finish updating.
adios.
btw, did you now that adios is from adieu
which is the contraction of a(to) dieu(god)
its french honey.
which in turn comes from latin ad-to deus(deh-oos)- god
i love linguistics.
